Reggae & Ska Night - Basement Bar York

Another gig coming up in the Basement bar York. Saturday 21st Nov 09 (8pm till late). Part of the Fullmoon production parties, in aid of Survival and Amnesty International. Playing Reggae & Ska also a bit of dancehall and Dub. It's gonna be excellent.

Pitcher & Piano - Gig

Had a recent party in pitcher & piano York. To review the place:

What a sound system - Overall quality = terrible. Lots of bass which is great but no graphic equalizer. Which meant there was no way of controlling the sound. The only way we could compensate was to reduce the volume. Not good. Mixer well into the red! Ugg.

Still they had done out the gaff well, looked the business. Drinks where really expensive. After party was better.

Beat Pilots gig Sat 19th April!!!!

The Beat Pilots are playing their whacky blend of Electronica, Breaks, Techno dance music at the York Winning Post this Saturday! Its for charity (Amnesty and Survival Int). A little birdie told me that they will be doing a 4 Deck 4 hour back to back set! Neat.

Spring has Sprung

Wow I've been busy recently. I think in all the being indoors in front of a computer Spring has passed me by. However this morning I noticed some ducky poos on my way to work.

I've been snowed under with OU work assignments, finishing at my old work and starting a new job, looking after the kids and trying to prepare for this April's gig.

I saw the replacement for my old job making himself comfortable in my chair

The new job has been going well. It's quite tiring trying to learn so many new things. I'm really glad to have the challenge though, the company seem really good and the people are a friendly bunch of guys. Its great to be working with such a large infrastructure with so much going on and plenty new stuff to learn. The futures looking bright.
